Christmas Mini Sessions on the Central Coast: Fun, Relaxed & Memory-Filled at The Entrance North Beach

There’s just something magical about Christmas minis by the sea. This year, I’m hosting them at The Entrance North Beach, and while the sessions are short and sweet, the memories they create are anything but small. My hope is always that families leave laughing, a little sandy, maybe even wishing they didn’t have to go home just yet, because they were having so much fun together.

More Than Just Photos

Yes, you’ll walk away with beautiful images to hang on your wall or tuck into Christmas cards, but these minis are about more than a “nice picture.” They’re about slowing down in a busy season and giving your family space to play, connect, and laugh together while I capture the magic in between.

How I Make Them Fun

Every family is different, but the common thread is joy. Sometimes that looks like a determined three-year-old whose mission in life is to cover the tree with every ornament in my basket. Other times, it’s racing mum and dad down to the water line, or watching a family burst into laughter as they leap off the top of the sand dunes together. Those are the moments I love—because they don’t just look like Christmas, they feel like it.

Why I Don’t Offer Santa

You won’t find Santa at my minis, and that’s intentional. My sessions are focused on capturing the laughter and connection of your family, just as you are.

When it comes to Santa, my family’s choice has always been Kath Carr at Santa Haus. We’ve tried others, but truly, no one compares. Kath creates the kind of Santa experience kids will remember forever: twinkling lights, storybook settings, and the sweetest Santa you’ll ever meet. If magical Santa photos are on your wishlist, I’ll always point you her way, because she does it better than anyone else.

A Little Extra, If We Have Time

While these sessions are designed to capture all the Christmas magic, I also love giving families the option to sneak in a few non-Christmas photos, if time allows. Maybe that looks like your kids jumping off the sand dunes, a quiet walk along the waterline, or even marking a little milestone in your family’s story. It’s a sweet way to get both festive memories and images you’ll love displaying long after the tree comes down.

Fun Ways to Use Your Photos

Once you’ve got your gallery, the real fun begins. Beyond Christmas cards, there are so many ways to make your photos part of your family traditions. Every year, I get one of our photos made into a Christmas ornament through Big W photos. It’s become such a sweet tradition. Unwrapping each one as we decorate the tree and remembering the moments from years gone by.

You could also…

• Print a few for gifts (grandparents especially love these).

• Create a holiday photo book you add to each year.

• Frame one to bring out each Christmas with your decorations.

Photos shouldn’t just live on your phone, they should be part of the joy of the season.

Ready to Book?

If you want Christmas photos that feel fun, easy, and full of laughter, my minis at The Entrance North Beach might be just what your family needs this year. Think of it as a gift to yourselves: a pocket of time to make memories together, captured forever.
